The negotiations in Türkiye lasted around two hours
Talks between Russia and Ukraine have concluded in Istanbul, Türkiye, sources have told RT and Russian news agencies TASS and RIA Novosti.
Ukrainian and Russian officials have yet to issue public statements regarding the first round of talks in three years between the two nations, aimed at resolving the conflict and finding a lasting peace.
An unnamed member of the Ukrainian delegation told Novyny LIVE that “this is a pause, not the end — the talks may yet continue.”
A source told RIA Novosti that the Russian delegation temporarily left the negotiation room during the talks on Friday, taking a pause in the discussions. It remains unclear whether the delegation will depart Türkiye today, the source added.
The Russian and Ukrainian delegations have not yet decided whether the round of negotiations in Istanbul will continue, a source has told TASS.
